We fell into the same trap, we had cable and internet and the price kept going up. Id call and they give a brief discount but then it would go back up again.Spectrum is the cable internet provider in 90% of the Orlando metro area and Xfinity is only in around 10%. I’ve never had Xfinity, but I’ve heard some terrible things about them. I have Spectrum and have had no major issues with their base 200/10 package with no data caps (which Xifinity has). Your definitely right about #4. Dial-up -> DSL -> Cable -> Fiber (FIOS) Cable is always going to be worse than Fiber as far as Internet, and DSL worse than cable, and dial-up worse than DSL.
